How Did You Guys Meet?

Maeve and I first met just after finishing our third year at the University of Georgia. Almost everyone had already left town for summer, but a mutual friend convinced each of us to stay and go out one night so we could be introduced. We met out on the town and spent the rest of the night talking over drinks and pizza. Soon after, we parted ways to return home for the summer, and as Maeve likes to point out, I never called her. However, things quickly picked back up when we returned in the fall, and we formally went on our first date.

What First Attracted You To The Other?

I was instantly attracted to Maeve’s intelligence and drive, but was equally struck by how down to earth and engaging she was.

I thought Matt looked adorable in his glasses, and was impressed by his mature demeanor. The passion and drive with which he approached life attracted me even more.

Why Did You Choose This Location To Proposal?

DC has always been a special place to both Maeve and I; so I knew I wanted to do it in town. I knew Meridian Hill Park would be beautiful and provide some privacy- both things I wanted for our engagement. We actually do go on picnics from time to time, so I knew using it as a cover wouldn’t arouse any suspicion!

Back in March, Paparazzi Proposals caught the moment when Rahim knelt down on one knee in front of the iconic Central Park fountain and asked Ria for her hand in marriage.  They were so happy with their proposal pics that they invited us back for an encore– this time to shoot their engagement photos!

The joyful couple further documented their New York City love story by choosing the Flatiron building as the backdrop for their engagement photos.

Balloons and bubbles were the name of the game in this playful shoot in Midtown, Manhattan. As the shoot progressed, the two traded in a bouquet of colorful balloons for a bubble gun, and finally an “&” sign to hint at their future titles– Mr. & Mrs.!

Romance was definitely in the air as Rahim spun his fiancée into a retro-style dip.   The couple laughed and embraced as they hailed a cab and made their way to the east side waterfront, one of Ria’s favorite running spots, to continue taking photos.

Once upon a time Lauren was simply just another regular customer at Enrico’s bagel store on Long Island. However, something about her caught his eye. After almost a year of slowly getting to know each other through pleasant small talk, he finally mustered up the courage to ask for her number. In the past, Lauren would never have given out her number in this way. But this time, something felt different and she made the leap of faith. 

Since that moment, not a day has passed in which they have not spoken. The fun they have when with one another was undeniable. Even the shortest amount of time spent apart felt like an eternity. Realizing this was the woman he was meant to marry, Enrico finally began getting ready to ask for her hand. However, he wanted to be sure he would propose in a way that would have special meaning to them both. Since New York City had been the setting for so many of the special times they shared with one another, it would make for the perfect place for him to propose. Timothy had known he wanted to marry Hanah for some time. However, he wanted to make sure would have no idea when it would be and it would be done in a way she would never forget. The romantic in him quickly took over…

He meticulously planned a fun night out in the city including dinner and tickets to see The Nutcracker, followed by a private horse and carriage ride which would secretly be awaiting them afterwards.

But he didn’t stop there. He also contacted Paparazzi Proposals for our surprise proposal photography services! Posing as a photographer for the horse and carriage company, Hanah thought it was exciting they were about to be featured as the couple for a new marketing campaign. Sure we were there to photograph the couple, but for a much bigger and better reason! Entering Central Park, the driver pulled up to the iconic Bow Bridge. As the two stepped out onto the bridge to soak in the gorgeous glow of the city lights sparkling above the tree tops, Timothy made his move! Down on bended knee, he asked Hanah if she would spend the rest of their lives together. Looking at these pictures, there is no need to tell you she said yes! It was just a matter of where and when. He wanted everything to be perfect. The setting had to be just right, the moments leading up to it romantic. But that wasn’t enough. He also wanted to capture all of it, providing them with a way to chronicle this amazing moment in their relationship.

That’s where Paparazzi Proposals came in. He set up a private tour and tasting at Orfile Vineyards and Winery, which would provide a stunning backdrop for the moment they would become an engaged couple.

As they quietly sat sipping on wine and enjoying their unbelievably beautiful surroundings sitting amongst the vineyards, Paul made his move. As he professed how much she meant to him and how much he loved her, he dropped to a knee and asked “will you marry me.” Shocked and elated Harriet quickly said “yes!” Our paparazzi-style photographer, who had been discreetly snapping shots of the couple from afar, now popped out, and the two posed for some amazingly beautiful newly-engaged couple portraits. Oh, and one more thing…to propose to her!

Their first meeting was pure fate. Having finished work for the day, Justin was half out the door. However, they were busier than usual and a receptionist asked if he could stay longer and help out one last customer. Little did he know this customer would one day turn out to be his fiancee!  They felt an instant connection, and talking every after their chance encounter, the two fell head over heels in love with one another. Justin selected to propose in New York in December as they both love both Christmas and the Big Apple. He also knew he wanted to do it in public so as many of her friends could be a part of it as possible.

He also contacted Paparazzi Proposals to secretly photograph the proposal, so she could share it with even more of her family and friends with pictures the big moment. Unfortunately, a four hour plane delay threw off the timing of his proposal plan and the shoot wold have to be rescheduled. However, Justin was on a mission and was determined to propose no matter what! Bending down on one knee in front of the iconic Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center, Justin popped the big questions and Tania said…yes!

Feeling awful things did not work out as planned, Paparazzi Proposals swapped the proposal shoot for engagement photography with a newly-engaged couple portrait shoot instead. With stunning wintertime views of Central Park as their backdrop, they walked through the park with our photographer snapping pictures of the happy couple throughout.
