1. Boat Proposal

As mentioned, Tampa is along the Gulf Coast and has direct access to beautiful waters and beaches. Rent out a boat and spend an intimate and romantic day on the water for your proposal. Bring along your partner’s favorite meal, a bottle of champagne (or two) and a sweet dessert. We like chocolate covered strawberries, which add to the romance. It’s a perfect getaway from the world and makes your big moment just between the two of you. If you don’t feel comfortable steering the boat, there’s always the option for someone to do it for you, and then your full focus can be on your new fiancée (and the champagne). Old City Helicopters in Tampa is a popular spot and offers a jaw-dropping view of Tampa from above (as well as affordable rates).

5. Park Proposal

1. Jackson Square

Joe’s girlfriend also expected just a romantic getaway in New Orleans, but what she didn’t expect was a proposal. 2. New Orleans City Park

Wouldn’t it be great to have the opportunity to propose among the monumental columns in Rome? Well, with the help of Paparazzi Proposals, Brenton found the next best thing, New Orleans City Park. The 7th most visited urban public park in the United States, he chose the backdrop of the Romanesque, marble columns to propose to Ian. 3. Plantation Proposal

Make your proposal green and pop the question in one of New Orleans gorgeous plantations. Michael and Summer were spending the holidays in New Orleans and went on a serene stroll through the Houmas House Plantation. Michael got to one knee, following their delicious meal in the restaurant. After the big moment, our photographer took them out in the gardens for a picture-perfect portrait session. The beautiful nature backdrop in the photos is sure to make all their friends green with envy. Other possible romantic plantations in New Orleans include Bocage Plantation, Destrehan Plantation, Evergreen Plantation, and Nottoway Plantation.

4. Bourbon Street

An easy walking distance from any point in The French Quarter, Bourbon Street is known as the yearly host to the famous Mardi Gras. However, throughout most of the year, this impressive street in the heart of New Orleans, is a cultural hotspot. And with so much history, Cody wanted to add his own proposal to it. A cocktail-based romantic rendezvous is one of New Orleans specialty options, and Bourbon Street is the perfect spot for it. 5. The Moonwalk

This paved promenade is one of the most romantic spots in New Orleans. Part of the riverside Woldenberg Park, it sits at the edge of the French Quarter. Take a lovely stroll on the Moonwalk, maybe after a delicious dinner at one of the nearby restaurants. There’s often street performers on hand to add an extra bit of jazz and romance to your proposal. Sheldon reached out to Paparazzi Proposals to make sure we captured his future fiancé’s face of bewilderment, caused not only by the stunning views, but the moment he got one knee. 3. Grand Central Arcade Proposal

This lovely meeting point was originally Squire’s Opera House, and has been around since 1879. What better way to show the strength of your love than by proposing in front of a cultural landmark? Paul thought so, and turned a walk by one of his partner’s favorite outdoor spots into a surprise proposal. But we decided it shouldn’t stop there and added some originality to a classic. 4. Ferry Proposal

How They Met:

These college sweethearts met when they lived in the same dorm building back in 2010.  Cullen was a Junior and Melissa, a sophomore.

Cullen opted for our Proposal Photography Package 

Cullen noticed her from a distance, and thought she was cute.  So he stopped by her dorm room on his way home from class one day and they started chatting.  He spoke about his family and relayed a story about how he took his little sisters to a movie that week, and she was instantly intrigued by his commitment to his family.

Cullen could tell that Melissa was selective with who she chose to trust, and he enjoyed that about her.  He knew it would be a challenge to impress her, but he was up for it, and he set out to get to know her better!

How They Knew:

Melissa says she knew after their first unofficial date that Cullen was The One.

 After they walked to church together on a Sunday morning, Cullen asked her to join him afterwards to help him pick out a birthday gift for his older sister and go for coffee.

For Cullen, it took until about a year into their relationship, when they went to Baltimore on their first getaway as a couple.  He was so content and at peace when they were taking a walk together around Federal Hill Park, that he knew he never wanted to be with anyone else.

The Surprise Proposal:

Cullen carefully planned his surprise proposal under the guise of a romantic weekend getaway, taking precautions to make sure it was a complete surprise.

He organized another trip to Baltimore, this time with an extra special question to ask! When they reached a scenic point that overlooked all of Maryland, Cullen dropped to one knee and presented her with a gorgeous ring Charisma Jewelers in Rochester, New York.  Judging by her priceless reaction, discreetly captured with our unique brand of proposal photography, it was a total success!

After she said yes, the couple wandered to the nearby American Visionary Art Museum for a unique and stunning post-proposal engagement session!
