How They Met:

Back in December of 2009, John and Bridget met through mutual friends at a bar.  They got to chatting and hit it off.  While talking they realized that watching football games over beer and wings with great company was a favorite activity for them both, a shared interest that tipped them off towards the possibility of a deeper connection.

They began to spend time together and truly enjoyed each other’s company.  But John was in the process of applying for other jobs nationwide, and they avoided being too serious because of the possibility that he may have to move away for work.

Two years later, on the 4th of July, John came to visit Bridget at her Jersey Shore house to let her know that he had accepted a Texas job offer and only had a few months left in NYC.  Faced with the idea of losing each other forever and wanting to make the most of their remaining time together, they decided to start dating.

Their compatibility was undeniable.

“We are both Virgos, very similar in personality,” Bridget gushed. “When we both want the same thing, the result is amazing!”

Ultimately, John declined the job offer in order to stay in NYC and see where the relationship would go.  He officially asked Bridget to be his girlfriend in a Christmas card that year.  Initially she turned him down–but not because she didn’t want to be with him.

“I didn’t want an anniversary on Christmas,” she said. “What girl does?? Our official relationship date is December 26th, as I woke up the next day and said ‘Yes I will be your girlfriend!'”

How They Knew:

They have been together for the four years since, sharing incredible experiences including travels to Canada, Aruba and return trips to the Jersey shore.

John knew relatively early on that Bridget was The One.  When he started thinking about his future, he couldn’t imagine it without her.  Bridget also sensed early on that they were meant for each other, and says she couldn’t have asked for a better person to share the experience of the last four years with.

“I can’t wait to explore the world and see what the future holds for us!” She said.

The Proposal:

John wanted his proposal to the best woman in the world to have views of the best city in the world. So he chose Long Island City as the spot for its views of Manhattan.

He reached out to Bridget’s best friend Nicole for advice, and to help coordinate having friends and family hidden nearby to join them to celebrate after he popped the question.

And on a warm summer day, he dropped to one knee in front of the retro-chic landmark Pepsi Cola sign, and presented Bridget with a gorgeous ring from Jared, The Galleria of Jewelry!

Just a subway ride away from downtown Manhattan, this mid-1800’s Bronx mansion offers elegant charm and stunning gardens.  Meandering pathways, varied gardens and stone structures offer countless proposal photography options.  Whisk your special someone away for the day to wander the grounds, surprising your them when you drop to one knee.  This is a perfect proposal spot for hopeless romantics!

Central Park Conservatory:

Central Park is a favorite location for proposal photography.  From Bow Bridge to Bethesda Fountain, it has recognizable landmarks that are as iconic as they are romantic. Revel in 52 acres of gorgeous garden, right near Prospect Park.  If the two of you are hopeless romantics, head to the Shakespeare-themed garden and drop to one knee amongst all of the blooms mentioned in the playwright’s plays and poems!  Then, head for a walk around the gorgeous gardens for a proposal photography shoot.

Wave Hill Botanical Gardens:

This Bronx botanical garden has it all.  From meandering wooded paths, to various gardens and Hudson River, views there’s something for everyone.  Truly an escape from the city, this is the perfect romantic spot to head to for the day. After nearly seven years together, Michael was ready to propose and wanted to make the moment perfect.  And as the sun set out over the city, with sweeping views from the roof deck at Hotel East Houston—it was.

Every fairytale ending has a beginning, and for this happy couple, it was during the first week of class at Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas back in 2006.

Caitlin and Michael had two classes together that fall.  As she walked into the room, they locked eyes.  He immediately noticed her stunning smile.  She chose desks next to him in both classes and tried to strike up conversation.  She was drawn in by his compassionate way with others and wanted to get to know him better, but Michael was quiet and didn’t chat very much, so after a few weeks, she changed seats.

That could have been the end of their story, but a year and a half later, in the spring of 2008, they reconnected.  This time, the chemistry was undeniable, and they began the start of a beautiful relationship.

Over the years, Michael’s old injuries from football began to cause him pain.  Caitlin willingly took care of him through it all, never leaving his side.  That was when Michael knew she was The One.

And when Michael met Caitlin’s whole family and immediately fit in, she knew that he was the person she wanted to spend the rest of her life with.

The couple loves traveling together, so Michael felt that a trip to New York City would provide the perfect opportunity to pop the question.  He also knew that Caitlin loved the idea of a rooftop wedding, and decided that a skyline engagement setting would be a great start to their journey to the altar.  He knew taking his small town girl to the big city to propose was going to be a memorable, cherished moment and hired Paparazzi Proposals to capture their proposal with surprise engagement photography.

On November 2^nd of this past year, Oray and Julia were preparing to go on their first date.

Both Oray and Julia had had a long series of bad dates and poor experiences by the time they were set to meet each other.  Each of them had separately vowed that this would be their last date before they both abandoned the quest to find that person to spend the rest of their lives with.

Little did they know, they would fall in love instantly on that first date.  Oray says he knew Julia was The One from the moment he met her.  Her kind, caring nature shone through and immediately made clear to him that this was the woman he had been looking for, the partner he wanted to share the rest of his journey with.

“Every day since then has just convinced us more that we were meant to be together,” said Oray.

Knowing they wanted to be together, the couple quickly began to discuss plans for the future.   They originally agreed to wait for a full year from the date that they had met in order to get engaged, but Oray wanted to completely surprise his love by proposing earlier than expected.

So, 7 months into his whirlwind romance with Julia, he reached out to her daughters for advice. He wanted them to be part of the whole process, and knew they’d help him dream up exactly the experience that Julia wanted.

They set about helping him pick a ring that suited her style, and meaningful date—Julia’s mother’s birthday.

To make sure their mother had her dream proposal, complete photos to document the couple’s beautiful love story, her daughters immediately referred Oray to Paparazzi Proposals.

And so, on June 6th, with the sun shining and with sweeping, photogenic views of all of Manhattan in the background, Oray dropped to one knee and presented Julia with a stunning ring from Kay Jewelers.

Truly surprised and beaming with happiness, she accepted! It was a chilly night at the “Top of the Rock.” As they stood on the observation deck that sits atop Rockefeller Center, Matt held Lisa close as they peered at the stunning skyline and twinkling lights of New York City. Deciding it was time to make his move, he slowly turned to face her. As he began to describe how much he loved being with her and how much she meant to him, he dropped down onto one knee. He asked if she would take his hand in marriage and a resounding “yes” carried through the brisk evening breeze!

They first met on Match.com. When they finally met up in person, Montrell was instantly awestruck by her beauty. With an infectious smile and adorable dimples, he was smitten. He started by developing an elaborate engagement plan that included a fake reality web series, a full camera crew and production team, along with  hair & makeup artists! He effectively convinced her that her and her friends would be featured in the filming of a new web series playfully entitled, “You Have No Idea.” As a full film and production crew showed up, she literally had NO idea what was really about to happen.

But he didn’t stop there! Before they even made it to the big “taping,” Brian had arranged multiple stops for her at several spots near and dear to them as a couple. Once her unofficial “tour” was down, the real magic began as she made it to the location at which they would be “filming”. So he devised a way to talk to her, mustered up the courage and walked over and spoke to her. The conversation was brief, but fate would arrange for their paths to meet again.

The next day, as he now sat in the same coffee shop studying, she appeared once again. Feeling even bolder, and certain the universe had somehow arranged for them to meet again, he bravely asked for her number. As they say, the rest is history. Their relationship quickly blossomed, and as they grew closer, Tim knew Sydney was the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with.

Tim knew New York held a special place in her heart. So while she was visiting a friend there, he planned a secret trip to not only surprise…but to propose to her as well! Knowing she would be shocked to see him let alone propose, he hired Paparazzi Proposals for some surprise engagement photography. With the help of her brother and a few friends, he brought her to what she thought was a simple rooftop reunion dinner with some old friends. Unbeknownst to her, that was only half the plan!

Once they reached the roof,  a pathway lined with rose petals immediately grabbed her attention. As they made their way towards the end of the path, she noticed a small table lined with some more flowers and champagne. As she wondered where her friends may be and why this odd little table was sitting there, she noticed one last item…a diamond engagement ring! As Alex slowly dropped to a knee and asked her to marry him, their friends and family, who were patiently waiting behind the scenes, began to emerge and congratulate the two. The epic celebration had begun!

Knowing he wanted to capture this once in a lifetime moment, Alex hired Paparazzi Proposals for some surprise engagement photography. Kathy had no idea we snapped photographs of the entire event!
