It was the first anniversary of their very first date and so Rich wanted to to take Shannon back to the spot where it all had started: the restaurant where they had their first date.

Picture NoMad, the cool part of town North of Madison Square Park in Manhattan. Fall was finally here and  we were ready to help Rich secure his girl! Our paparazzi photographer was waiting out of sight to capture Rich and Shannon arriving and to photograph this amazing proposal. Shannon had no idea and was bowled over by Rich’s gesture.

We loved being part of this proposal as it was simple, evocative and the joy on both Shannon and Rich’s faces is evident. It doesn’t hurt that New York is at her most photogenic at this time of year too, which set the scene beautifully for their proposal photos.

Dion wanted to incorporate the place they had their first date 30 years ago and the Gondola was the perfect setting for this anniversary!

With the amazing help from our friends at Gondola Adventures  Dion and Petra went for a gorgeous cruise around Newport on this stunning gondola. Half way through the ride the gondolier dropped a bottle in the water with a note written from Dion. After the couple arrived back at the dock the surprises did not stop their! Our photographer who had captured this whole ride then went with them to the same restaurant that Dion had proposed to Petra 29 years ago!

Gentlemen, take note, this is how you keep an amazing marriage for over 29 years!

After brunch the couple took a romantic stroll around conservatory to see the Alice in Wonderland statue.

As logan and Jenna stopped by the lake to look at the sail boats Logan dropped to one knee and asked Jenna one very big question!

Joel wanted the perfect setting for the biggest question he was going to ask Katy.

Los Angeles, Los Angeles, the city of angels and, apparently, incredibly romantic, well-thought-out proposals!

“The house is her Great Grandfather house. She spent her summers there and has always dreamed about living there. It’s one of her favorite homes and places to be in the world. She loves the west coast. It’s just a very meaningful place to her and it was a really big deal to have her share it with me. It seemed perfect. ” Joel.

Joel went to great lengths to coordinate with Katy’s family to arrange this proposal. Apparently Katy was incredibly attached to her Great Grandfather’s house and had many happy memories of the times she had spent there. Knowing this, Joel thought that this would be the perfect place to propose to Katy and a way for them to make Joel part of those happy memories too.

Gentlemen, take note, your proposal is not about your big idea, its all about the moment she has been dreaming of for years!

Look at Robert and Elizabeth’s Gramercy Park engagement photos: Robert donated a tree to Gramercy Park (New York) and had a sign made reading “Robert proposed to Elizabeth here on…”. By donating the tree to the park, he finally had access to the park, something they had discussed many times as a couple. It’s just one of the many lovely engagement stories in our archives. The couple enjoyed a romantic dinner on the water while being taken around the canals, as they passed under a bridge with the backdrop of a waterfall the gondolier dropped a bottle in the water with a very important message.

The evening started with a romantic horse and carriage ride around Central Park that finished at Bethesda Fountain.

With the help of our fantastic friends at Perfect Picnic NYC we had beautiful blanket laid out with champagne, 24 red roses and Godiva chocolates laid out waiting for them.

With our secret snappers hidden we captured the whole moment from beginning to end with a portrait session afterwards. That was not the end of the surprises, Omar had organized for both their friends and his sister to waiting at the The Boathouse to surprise them for drinks and dinner, finishing off the perfect proposal!
