Their Love Story

Patrick remembers the exact date of the day they first met two and a half years ago: June 30, 2013. They were attending a mutual friend’s social gathering at Bar Louie in downtown Fort Worth.

Patrick was immediately noticed her captivating blue eyes, and struck up an easy conversation. Kristen was intrigued by his wit and confidence. They noticed an immediate connection, and Patrick asked her out on a date.

Life has an interesting way of giving you what you need right when you stop searching for it! Both Patrick and Kristen had just about given up on love when they met and fell for each other. On their second date, she showed a genuine interest in Patrick and laughed at his jokes, and he just knew he had found The One!

With a unique plan to bring the water to Kristen for their marriage proposal, Patrick booked a romantic gondola cruise around Lake Carolyn and planned to have it all captured with Dallas proposal photography as an extra special surprise!

At just the right moment, their gondolier sneakily dropped a corked glass bottle with Patrick’s handwritten proposal note into the water for Kristen to find!

Smiling, she read his romantic proposal message and looked up to see Patrick on bended knee with a stunning Jared’s engagement ring!

When they were safely back on dry land, our photographer introduced himself, and joined them for the remainder of the hour for a beautiful engagement session.

For Andrew, it was after his mom passed. Denikka was there for him every step of the way, comforting him and supporting him. For Denikka, it was when they first parted ways heading off to college. As her heart ached to be away from his side, she knew she had found “the one.”

Their love story was a classic one, having been high school sweethearts. Their personalities were a perfect match. Both very outgoing and outspoken, they just so happened to be voted “Mr. and Mrs. Witty” by their high school class. So years later, when Andrew began planning his proposal, he wanted to be sure it was as special as their relationship.

When poor weather caused his original plan of proposing on a helicopter ride to fall through, he quickly came up with another romantic proposal idea. So with the help of our friends at Gondola Adventures, he set up a relaxing private gondola ride. So as they calmly glided along the canal, Andrew reached in his pocket and pulled out an amazing ring from Zales, and asked Denikka if she would spend the rest of her life with him. Now this is how you propose in Dallas! Josh contacted Paparazzi Proposals for our unique brand of surprise proposal photography. So we first set him up with our friends at Gondola Adventures to ensure he would have an amazing backdrop for these one-of-a-kind photographs.

There were even more surprises! As their gondolier gently guided them on a romantic ride along the canals of Las Calinas, Christina noticed a bottle floating in the water…

As she pulled the bottle from the canal and opened it, she was surprised to find a love letter. As her eyes slowly started to scan the note, Josh made his move. He got onto one knee, pulled out a gorgeous engagement ring from Fuller’s Jewelry and asked Christina to marry him. Even more heartwarming than the proposal? Their love story! Introduced by  mutual friends while attending the University of Texas at Arlington back in 2012, they first played it safe and met briefly for lunch a few times to get to know one another. From the moment they met Josh was taken aback by her stunning looks. More importantly to him, she was also kind and caring. Christina on the other hand, was immediately attracted to his values and honesty. They both enjoyed the afternoons they spent together so much, they felt ready for their first “official” date at the legendary State Fair of Texas. And so began this crazy dance we call love!

After dating for a while, they decided to buy a dog together. This brought out a tender and caring side Christina had not seen before. It melted her heart, and she realized he was the man for her. When asked the moment he knew she was “the one,” things happened a little quicker for Josh. While on that first date at the fair, he admitted to being instantly hooked by how much fun she was. After spending several hours with her on that day, he only wanted to spend even more, and knew this was the woman he wanted by his side for the rest of his life. Here’s to them living happily ever after!

Ryan’s proposal was a little different from the other rooftop proposals we’ve seen. We got to see a different view of the Dallas skyline that’s never really highlighted.

Every city has something unique about them. The same thing applies to couples. There’s a little something that sets every couple apart from one another. Ryan and his fiancee have that powerful connection that many might not see but they sure feel it. Ryan planned a rooftop proposal and Proposal Ideas was there to assist him in his proposing.
