1. Berkley Riverfront Park

Joel invited his girlfriend on a romantic stroll in Berkley Riverfront Park in Kansas City. Using the scenic views of the water and bridge, he got down on one knee.

2. Private Lakeside in Connecticut

Oliver surprised his girlfriend with a diamond ring in front of their lake pier. Her parents had front row seats to this heartwarming moment!

3. Cherry Hill in Central Park with Perfect Picnic

Working with Perfect Picnic, we arranged a romantic picnic at Cherry Hill for Jeff and his girlfriend. Surprised by the setup, she turned around to find Jeff with a diamond ring!

4. Chicago Riverwalk

The Chicago Riverwalk offers gorgeous views of the skyline and water, which is why Lance used it as the backdrop for his engagement.

5. Santa Monica Boardwalk

On their way to dinner, Eric suggested to take a walk on the boardwalk by the beach. Little did his girlfriend know that it would be the picture-perfect backdrop to his proposal.

Our Kansas City proposal photographer was ready to capture every moment.

When arriving to the fountain at Loose Park, blooming with roses, he used it as the picture-perfect backdrop for his big kneeling moment.

After all the excitement, the newly-engaged couple shared with us their meeting story, and what led them to fall in love.

How and when did you guys meet?

“We both were starting at Park University fall 2016. She moved back to the United States from Australia and I moved from Brazil. She likes to say first semester she came up to me in the tutoring center one day and said hello but I honestly don’t remember that because you would think I would remember talking to such a beautiful girl. The first semester I just remember saying Hi to her in passing throughout school and she would always say it back.”

What was the first thing that attracted you to one another?

“His kindness to everyone.” – Kenzie

“Her eyes.” – Leandro

When did you know that they were the one?

“It was on our second date that he took me to Loose Park and we had a blanket laid out underneath a beautiful tree trying to read but really just talking and stealing kisses and that’s when he said i love you. I said it back without question because we had already been getting to know each other for a month and by then I just knew he was the one and I understood why people said when you know, you know.” – Kenzie

“On our second date I decided that I couldn’t hold it anymore, so I let he know that I love her. Which freaked me out because what crazy person would say that he loves a girl on the second date?!! When I said it, I couldn’t hear her saying it back. So for a moment I felt like I messed up until she fortunately said it again. Phew. It is wise what people say when you know, you know.” – Leandro

Why did you choose to propose where you did?

“I choose to propose at Loose Park because it was the place where we said we love each other for the first time on our second date. After that date Loose Park became a very special place for us. It’s our place together.”

The scenery isn’t just amazing for the proposal but the portrait session, as well! We captured Vaughn and Emily’s engagement this past weekend and got to hear a bit about their love story. Check out some of the pictures and what they said below!

How and when did you guys meet?

“Emily and I met on Tinder actually! It was March of 2015, but we didn’t actually meet until September!”

What was the first thing that attracted you to one another?

“Her smile got me and my eyes and dimples got Emily.”

When did you know that they were the one?

“I knew she was the one when I finally got to meet her family. It took forever to meet them because she is so shy.”

Why did you choose to propose where you did?

I chose to propose at Antioch Park because it was one of our first dates.
