Our photographer secretly snapped away, capturing Johnna’s reaction right after Zack took a knee. After chatting with our proposal planner, he chose the understated yet iconic Bow Bridge in Central Park as the picture perfect place to pop the question!
After the pair had a moment to process their new engagement, Zack revealed our sneaky snapper, who joined them for post-proposal portraits! Zack and Johnna met through a mutual friend at a local bar in their college town during a night out. Johnna notes that it took Zack a while to call her back— two months, to be exact— but when they went out on their first date it was clear they shared a connection! Conversation flowed easily and it seemed like they’d known each other for ages.
Zack was initially attracted to her stunning good-looks, and charmed by her outgoing personality, drive and independence. Johnna says it was Zack’s life-of-the party charisma combined with his impressive ambition that drew her in! Both Johnna and Zack say that there wasn’t a specific moment when they knew they’d found The One. Instead, it was an instinct they both felt that grew with each new experience they shared together.
After a careful search for Johnna’s perfect engagement ring, Zack had narrowed it down to two choices. He thoughtfully asked Johnna’s family for input on which one would better suit her style, but the only advice they could offer was that Johnna would be overjoyed to receive either one. Judging by her incredible reaction, they were completely right!
As a super sweet surprise, Zack thoughtfully invited their immediate family to join them at the Central Park Boathouse for a celebratory post-proposal toast! Zack and Johnna now have over one hundred gorgeous photos capturing their entire engagement, from proposal candids to group photos with family!
