Corey and Rachel met in college during the year 2012. He was a senior and she was a sophomore.
“Corey likes to say we met when we were both working at fall orientation, but we didn’t really talk then. We first met at a mutual friend’s Halloween Party. I was a pilot and he was a Seriall Killer (screams future husband right?!). After reaching out through Facebook, Corey invited me to a party at his place, and we started dating soon after!”
The first thing that attracted Corey to Rachel was her outgoing personality.
“Rachel doesn’t see herself as an outgoing person, but she was fun to talk to and get to know at the beginning of our relationship.”
The first thing that attracted Rachel to Corey was how kind he was.
“On our first date, he held the door open for me and was a perfect gentleman. I could tell he was a genuine person and felt comfortable in his presence. His handsome blue eyes were also a plus!”
Corey knew Rachel was the one after he graduated college, and they would not be able to see each other as often. He missed her so much when they weren’t together and, eventually, knew that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her.
Corey proposed to Rachel at Bancroft’s Castle, which is on the top of Gibbet Hill in Groton, MA. Gibbet Hill is special to them because Rachel had always dreamed of having her wedding at the Barn at Gibbet Hill. They started a tradition of having their anniversary dinner at the Gibbet Hill Grill each year.
