How and when did you guys meet?

Colleen: “We met online in the summer of 2014! After messaging back and forth a few times, I ghosted him (my bad) and quit online dating, but when I returned a few months later, I remembered him and hit him up. It turns out we actually lived two houses down from each other and had been invited to the same parties, but had never crossed paths. #thanksokcupid”

Sean: “We met online, she disappeared, and then reappeared several months later. I was concerned that she was a bot, or more likely just wanted a free dinner, so we just meant up for a drink first.”

What was the first thing that attracted you to one another?
Colleen: “Sean has a big personality that lights up the whole room. He’s really enthusiastic, passionate, and kind. He also bought my drinks.”

Sean: “Colleen is SO kind, and a great listener, she always encourages me and is just great. Also, on her first date when she got up to use the bathroom, I realized she had a great butt.”

When did you know that they were the one?

Colleen: “Sean fixed the toilet in my apartment once (turns out it was a temporary fix), and that night, he went to a work Christmas party where he had one too many. When he came back, he proclaimed that he wanted to “Fix my toilets forever.” It sounded like a pretty good deal.”

Sean: “After offering to fix her toilets forever we continued to date for awhile and things were great. I was in a really bad car accident and was pretty messed up, I couldn’t even walk for awhile. She was WONDERFUL to me throughout the whole thing.”

Why did you choose to propose where you did?

Sean: “We constantly argue over which city has the better skyline, Boston or NYC. While obviously Boston’s is better, I decided to let her win this round, and propose with the NYC skyline in the background.”
