Michael and Lauren went on their first date at the Cheesecake Factory after meeting on OKCupid, February 7, 2015.
Michael was drawn to her kind heart and genuine personality, and Lauren loved his confidence and humor.
Michael first knew Lauren was the one while playing a serious game of Bocci at a family friend’s house.
“She carried the team, and I received compliments from all the men on the court.”
He wanted to surprise Lauren with the picture-perfect proposal and somewhere iconic, she would always remember.
“I consider myself a pretty dynamic person and definitely wanted the ‘wow’ factor. Top of the Rock is somewhere I’ve always been interested in, and I figured with those views of the New York skyline, what a great place to get engaged.”
Michael purchased the ring from Howie’s Jewelers, a family-owned jewelry store.
