Anthony asked Jera to be his girlfriend at the Empire State Building in New York, and that’s where he proposed, 6 years later. 

Anthony and Jera met during their first year of college at an international potluck event (On Valentine’s Day) but they didn’t get the chance to talk to each. They met again a week after at another event, and they began to hangout more and more with each other.

Jera was attracted to Anthony’s experience growing up in a multicultural environment, which included Indonesia, Taiwan and Singapore. She discovered that they shared a lot of similar values.

Anthony knew she was the one shortly after they got together. “She is a beautiful woman, who does not only have a kind heart, but a wise soul, who can always calm me down and guide me through difficult times in life.” The Empire State building was where he first asked her to be his girlfriend and that’s where he proposed, six years later.
