New York Engagement Ideas: Chris Rockefeller Proposal

One the most scenic New York engagement ideas during the holidays is, of course, Rockefeller Center.

We helped Chris surprise Lindsay with an engagement proposal during their trip in New York she would never forget.

Our sneaky photographer, of course, captured every single moment.

Find out how they met and check out some of the romantic photos below:

“We met 2.5 years ago in Richmond, VA at a rooftop bar. A friend of mine was meeting a friend of hers, and we were both tagging along. Both of us admitted we were really close to bailing that night, but toughed it out.

The first conversation we had was a debate over what was the song of the 00’s. She was smart and quick with her commentary, and she says it was my sense of humor that got me a 1st date. We settled on the song “Yeah” by Usher, Lil Jon and Ludacris as the song of that decade. It’s a masterpiece.

She claims that she knew from the start, but for me it was our first Christmas. I went home to my family for 10 days, and I found myself really wanting to get back. I joke that my first love in NYC, but when I wanted to leave to see her, I knew it was serious.

I am from NYC, so it holds a really special place in my heart. Lindsay had commented to me that since she was a little girl, she always wanted to see the Rockettes. As an early Christmas present, I got her two tickets to see the show. I figured it would be a good opportunity to take advantage of the situation and Rockefeller Center is always so beautiful that time of year. She was very surprised.

The ring is actually a family ring. It’s 100 years old.”
