The first thing that attracted me to Courtney was her spontaneity and love for fun. No matter where she was, who she was with, or what any circumstance was, she was always just running around smiling in the sunshine dancing and having a good time. Courtney always looks for the best in people and in situations. In addition to this, it was oddly her punctuality. We consistently showed up to our first few dates at the same time, which happened to be 1-2 minutes before the agreed upon time. “

“I knew Courtney was the one after we packed up our lives and moved across the country together. We lived together in Chicago, but after packing our life into a Uhaul and driving to San Diego, I knew that this was my life partner. A few months in San Diego really solidified this after it was apparent that we were always counting down the time until we could just be at home with each other.

I chose sunset cliffs because it is a spot we frequent with a blanket and a bottle of wine to watch the sunset. Courtney always commented on how beautiful it was. It’s also the place I feel the closest with her as she rests her head on my shoulder and we watch the sun fade into the ocean. It seemed like the obvious winner.”
