1. Arneson River Theatre

This beautiful outdoor performance theater is ideal for a surprise proposal. Located on the riverwalk, this theater is separated by the river, so you can propose on the stage (the north side of the river) and your friends and family can witness the proposal from the stairs located on the south side of the river. A beautiful stone bridge connects both sides and looks absolutely stunning in the pictures. This is an active theater space, so always check if there are any performances on your day.

2. Riverwalk in front of the St. Mary street bridge

If you are looking for an intimate place to propose this would be it. If you look West from the south bank of the Riverwalk, you can see the North floodgate and bridge in the background. This location is rather quiet and ideal for a surprise proposal in San Antonio. You can have a musician performing the song of your choice or candlelight heart to declare your love. The best time to propose would be during the sunset.

3. McNay Art Museum

McNay art museum is the first modern art museum in San Antonio. The museum sits on 23 acres that are landscaped with fountains, wide lawns, and a Japanese-inspired garden and lake. Which makes this location ideal for a surprise proposal. You can propose over a picnic on the lawn, on the mansion’s stairs, or at the Japanese Garden. 5. Tower of the Americas

Daniel invited his girlfriend, Loisy, to a romantic dinner in San Antonio, however, the real surprise would happen before getting to the restaurant.

At the picture-perfect moment, Daniel got down on one knee and surprised Loisy with a diamond ring.
