After his proposal (and she said “YES!”), our photographer captured an impromptu portrait session of the newly-engaged couple, and Mike shared with us how they met and fell in love.

“We met back in High School! It was senior year, and a mutual friend had a party. We dated briefly back then, but then drifted away during college. A few years later, a friendship was rekindled and we went out for a dinner to catch up. It was basically history from there. I was attracted most to her big, beautiful blue eyes. Ive always had her in the back of my mind, and when we picked things back up later in life it came so naturally. New York is our city. Its symbolic to our relationship: we are adventurous, busy and driven, and have so much fun together. It only felt like the perfect place to propose to my best friend.”
