The pair were headed to the Red Sox game on a vacation when James led her on a walk through the Public Garden. When Shanyn stopped on the bridge to take a photo of the lagoon, James stood behind her and asked her to turn around. When she did, he was down on one knee. Shanyn was shocked and our hidden proposal photographer captured all the Boston Public Garden proposal photos.

James and Shanyn first met in seventh grade and dated back then, or, as they put it, as much as you can date in seventh grade. They were even each other’s first kisses! They reconnected some time later leading this momentous day.

The newly engaged couple went around the Public Garden for an impromptu engagement session to add to their Boston Public Garden proposal photos.

Scott reached out to us to surprise his girlfriend with a picture-perfect engagement. We coordinated for them to take a stroll along the park, but she was unaware of the real reason. Scott waited for them to cross the bridge before turning her around to get down on one knee.

Adding to the surprise was our sneaky photographer, who we arranged to be discreetly capturing every moment. Scott’s girlfriend was shocked to see a diamond ring, and even more surprised that the whole moment was captured in pictures that will last a lifetime.

To end their special day, our photographer took them around the area for an impromptu portrait session.
