Jeff reached out to us to plan a romantic picnic engagement in Central Park.

While enjoying a romantic stroll in the park with his partner, they stumbled upon our classic picnic, complete with blanket, a bottle of chilled Prosecco, charcuterie and cheese platter. His partner was completely surprised and wondered how it all got setup. Little did she know, it was only the beginning of their special day.

As his partner admired the picnic, Jeff took out one more surprise from his pocket: a diamond ring! She turned around to find him down on one knee, asking the question that she has been waiting for: Will you marry me?

Of course, she said YES! Our sneaky photographer was at a distance capturing every moment with the stunning Bow Bridge in the background.

He revealed himself after for the last surprise: an impromptu portrait session around the park.

It was a day that neither of them will every forget.

Summer is the picture-perfect time for Central Park picnic proposals, so the day could not have been more magical for the newly-engaged couple.

Even more romantic, they shared with us their love story, below.

How and when did you guys meet?

“The old fashioned way… the internet on February 23, 2019. Our first date was in February at Gloria’s in Addison, TX.

What was the first thing that attracted you to one another?

“Lisa’s eyes & Randy’s eyes of course, but really – we started with a handful of text messages that lead into a conversation, lasting more than 3 hours. It went from very personal and deep, to laughter about a gamut of things. We’ve continued to be able to talk about all things all the time – it’s intimate and comforting.”

When did you know that they were the one?

“Lisa knew on Day 28 (3/22/19) & Randy on Day 7 (3/1/19). We were engaged on day 118 – When you know you know.”

Why did you choose to propose where you did?
“The trip to NYC was initially a surprise concert for Lisa; but Central Park had the busyness and quiet space that is our lives. I knew I want to propose in NYC. I thought rooftop, helicopter, at a restaurant, Time Square ,in front of Tiffany’s at the Brooklyn Bridge but all of those where about me. Central Park was about her we love to walk and talk love being outdoors. It provided the prefect spot to propose to the prefect woman. Where it was just about us yet lots of things happening around us.”
