Matt and Aivy went to different high schools, but met their last year in February of 2010 at a hookah bar through a mutual friend. Though it didn’t happen overnight, from the first time they met, their personalities clicked and everyday they began to grow closer and closer.

Matt realized Aivy was the one after they started living together, which was a few years after meeting.

“Just going to sleep and waking up next to her made me feel great. It was always a fun time seeing her everyday and spending so much time together.”

Aivy realized he was the one after having to leave the country to visit family in Vietnam for about 3 weeks. Despite seeing family and friends she hasn’t seen in 15 years, Matt was the only person she really wanted by her side.

Matt chose to propose in Central Park because not only did it feel like the right time after being together five years, but it was their first time in New York and it all felt like a fairytale. He ensured it would be their most memorable trip yet. We helped Matt set up a romantic picnic with delicious foods, roses and, of course, champagne to celebrate!
