1. The Stone Arch Bridge

Probably one of the most romantic locations in Minneapolis (and the world), the Stone Arch Bridge is the only one of its kind, overlooking the Mississippi River. Made of granite and limestone, the bridge consists of 23 arches and countless love stories. Equally romantic during the day or night, it’s the perfect backdrop for a proposal.

2. Minneapolis Sculpture Garden

One of Minneapolis’ crown jewels, The Sculpture Garden is a melting pot of nature, art, culture, and romance. Just add Paparazzi Proposals (the secret ingredient) into the mix and it’s the recipe for a perfect surprise proposal. The impressive 11-acre site is one of the largest urban sculpture gardens in the country and showcases more than 40 works from the Walker Art Center’s renowned collection. 3. Rice Park, St. Paul

If you don’t trust our judgement, St. Paul was recently declared “Best Romantic North American Getaway” in a poll by USA Today.  Within the heart of downtown St. Paul, Rice Park during the holidays is covered in lights and makes a radiating place for a proposal. It also acts as center stage for the St. Paul Winter Carnival, which features a palace made of ice, parades, an ice-bar, and loads of entertainment. The park features a stunning fountain and is surrounded by the Saint Paul Hotel, Landmark Center, Ordway and the Downtown Central Library.

4. Mill City Museum

Built into the ruins of what was once the world’s largest flour mill, Mill City Museum oozes with old-world romance. It’s located in front of the Mississippi Riverfront and described as “a unique concoction of raw power, dramatic views and hands-on fun.” This location guarantees for a memorable and stunning proposal. 

5. Rooftop Proposal

A great way to include the stunning Minneapolis skyline view is a rooftop proposal. From Union Rooftop, Uptown Tavern, Libertine and 4 Bells, there’s an abundance of great rooftop spots to surprise your partner with a proposal. If you want extra romance, add on a musician to serenade the moment from our packages. It’s also a practical way of being able to celebrate with food and cocktails afterwards. Tyler carefully selected Rice Park in downtown St. Paul, Minnesota, as the perfect place to propose.  He thought of how romantic it would be to pop the question in the city where they both grew up, and how stunning the Minneapolis proposal photography would be set against the twinkling holiday lights in the park trees!

Tyler and Sara have known each other since they were kids.  Tyler played hockey with Sara’s older brother and they grew up around the rinks together.

Tyler says he was initially drawn in by Sara’s beautiful eyes and smile, and by the fact that she also played hockey.  The feeling was mutual.  Sara noticed his good looks, and was charmed by his soft side and romantic personality.

There was always something special there, but they didn’t start dating until after they graduated high school when Sara was attending college in Connecticut and Tyler was playing junior hockey in Canada.

The more time they spent together, the more they realized they had found The One!

“I realized he’s the only person on earth I could spend all day with and not get sick of,” said Sara.  “We have a lot o fun together!”

“I couldn’t have said it better myself,” Tyler added.  “We can be doing absolutely nothing and still have the best time just goofing around!”

So, Tyler set about to planning a picture-perfect engagement!  He wanted it to be something that paid tribute to where they were from, and made it easy for them to celebrate with nearby friends and family.  After a nighttime stroll through Rice Park, he dropped to one knee and proposed!  Our discreet proposal photographer captured each magical moment, before joining the pair for a beautiful engagement session.

How They Met:

Justin and Eric met online, while he was living in New York City and Eric was living in Minnesota. 

After chatting for a few months, Justin and Eric could both tell that they shared a special connection, and made plans to meet up.

Sparks flew when they met in person for the first time on March 28, 2014.  Face to face, the conversation flowed even easier than it had in all the messages and phone calls.  Justin was smitten with Eric’s fun personality and infectious laugh.

How They Knew:

It was clear the chemistry they felt chatting with each other online was real, and they both knew that they had found someone special.

They continued to fly back and forth to see each other, and regularly talked on the phone.

Justin knew that he had found The One, and five months after they first met, he packed up all his belongings and left behind his job and his family and friends to start a new life with Eric. 

The Proposal Plan:

Justin wanted to propose the question somewhere relatively private, with panoramic views of the city where the two of them had fallen in love. 

He thought back to the moment he asked Eric to date him on the Brooklyn Bridge, and wanted to bring it full circle with a bridge proposal.  He also wanted to make sure their proposal moment was captured for the two of them to remember, and to share with his friends and family back home, with stunning professional proposal photography.  So, he contacted Paparazzi Proposals and spoke with one of our proposal planners.  We sorted out all the fine details for a perfectly stress free engagement.

He told Eric he had made reservations at one of their favorite restaurants, and invited him to go for a romantic nighttime stroll across the Stone Arch Bridge, to admire the Minneapolis skyline.  As they walked hand in hand, admiring the views, Justin dropped to one knee and popped the question with a gorgeous Cartier ring!

After the initial shock wore off, Justin introduced our sneaky snapper, who had beautifully documented the entire engagement with discreet, paparazzi style proposal photography!

He joined the them for a couple’s photo shoot, capturing some absolutely stunning engagement photos that the Justin and Eric can now share with friends and family.

Cody and Mallory had enjoyed a nice dinner out and then went to the bar were they had their first date.

After the bar Cody took Mallory for a romantic stroll along the Stone Arch Bridge which has a stunning view of the city skyline. As Mallory looked out over the water little did she know behind her Cody was on one knee ready to ask one very big question!
