Over the past few years, we have been invited to plan and photograph several beautiful same-sex proposals.  We’ve included some of our favorite proposal moments below.

LGBT Proposal Ideas

Iconic D.C. Engagement

Most recently, Julie’s iconic Washington, D.C. proposal pulled at our heartstrings.  The couple was visiting the capitol from their home city of Boston.  Julie planned the location with the idea that the pair could revisit the spot of their proposal every year to celebrate their anniversary. Then, she reached out to Paparazzi Proposals to make sure that their full engagement story was captured.  From her fiancée’s reaction, it was clear that she had made the right choice. Amy wiped tears of joy away from her eyes when Julie knelt down on the stately marble steps of the Lincoln Memorial, and asked her that all-important question.

Botanical Garden Proposal

Earlier this year, we had the privilege of shooting James and Joseph’s touching engagement. James popped the question amidst the spring blooms of Toronto’s enchanting botanical gardens.  After walking with John through the historic grounds, he paused in a clearing, turned to face him, and knelt down on one knee.  The multicolored blossoms provided the perfect backdrop for surprise engagement photography as John enthusiastically said, “Yes!”

NYC Central Park Proposal

Jake’s overjoyed reaction to Matt’s proposal on Bow Bridge in New York City’s Central Park reminded us of the power of the perfect marriage proposal.  Matt’s thoughtful proposal inspired tears of joy from his fiancée.

Ashley contacted Paparazzi Proposals wanting to create a totally unique and special proposal for her partner Rachel.

Ashley wanted to create a special, romantic and intimate proposal, with our help we had  a blanket laid out in a beautiful spot in Connecticut’s lighthouse park with a big bunch of flowers waiting!

As Ashley proposed we had our cameras snapping to capture the whole moment.
