Donovan and Emily met at Georgia Gwinnett College during Spring 2013 in Dr. Wilkes’ World Religions class. They sat on the same row and talked occasionally, but it wasn’t until Fall 2014 that they reconnected in a management class and became closer friends and, eventually, boyfriend and girlfriend.

Emily was drawn to Donovan’s smile.

“I noticed his smile the very second he walked into class. Once we started talking, I fell in love with his personality, maturity, and personal drive to be the best man he could be.”

Donovan loved her enthusiasm, positivity, smile and loving eyes.

“No matter how negative the rest of the world was at the time, she was always cheerful. She was the bright spot in my day.”

Emily knew Donovan was the one before they even started dating. In Fall of 2014, They had a talk regarding what they considered to be the perfect date.

“It wasn’t his answer that made me realize he was the one. It was just the fact that we could talk about anything and everything. It was the fact that he was everything I had ever wanted and more. Only about two months later, I had told him, ‘I think…I want to marry you.’ Luckily that didn’t scare him away.”

Donovan purchased the beautiful engagement ring from A&J Jewelers in Snellville, Georgia!
