Wesley and Sarah first met back in 2013 while working at the same place. However, his first day was one of his last, as he was joining the Marines and about to head out for boot camp. Eventually, they reconnected later and became best friends and fell in love.

Sarah initially loved that he truly listened and took the time to become one of her best friends, before even dating.

Wesley was attracted to her intelligence and drive. While intimidating at first, it made him want to get to know her better and understand the type of person she was.

Sarah knew Wesley was the one when he was deployed.

“We spent hours just talking and trying to make each other’s day better, no matter how our own day was going.”

Wesley chose to propose at the beach for its beautiful view, and the fact that the only other time they went there, it was private and relaxed.
