Anna and Ryan met through a mutual friend at a birthday party on December 7th, 2013. As they began to talk, it was clear they shared a connection! Ryan told a few silly jokes, which put Anna instantly at ease, and Ryan began to fall for Anna’s infectious laughter.
In their two years of dating, Ryan’s initial feeling that he had found someone special grew over time, and he knew she was the one he wanted to share the rest of his life with! She knew Ryan was the one the first night she met his parents. “We were saying goodnight to each other and we went to our separate bedrooms. He hugged me, picked me up and kissed me goodnight. In that moment, I knew I didn’t want to leave those arms, and he would be mine forever,” she said.
Ryan wanted to make sure that their parents were able to join them afterwards to celebrate their engagement and take a few pictures with them! He let her parents in on the secret and asked them to help make sure that the proposal was a complete surprise!
Hand in hand, the couple gave Anna’s new engagement ring a little camera time!
Ryan opted for Lincoln Park for a scenic proposal with the city skyline in the background. “I had a few different thoughts about where in Chicago to propose, but Paparazzi Proposals helped me think through different venues that would meet the goals I had set for the proposal,” Ryan said of his proposal plan. “He knew the area, drew a map for me, and walked me through the entire day’s events to make sure it went off without a hitch!”
